Divine Ideas believe that thoughtful design of the public realm is key to the success of regeneration schemes. We work with all stakeholders to create public realm that is accessible to all, safe, attractive and easily maintained. We believe that once the public realm has been successfully laid out that building forms and arrangements can be resolved with reference to the character of the public realm. In some locations a landmark building will be required to create a focal point for ease of navigation. In other locations buildings should be subsidiary to the new spaces and to existing context. Other factors are equally important to the long-term viability of a regeneration project. Transport studies, refuse management, security, car parking, vehicle access and sustainable urban drainage are only a few of the various factors that Divine Ideas are adept at combining to create exceptional regeneration schemes. Divine Ideas have a proven record of bringing forward major schemes (over 1000 units in the last three years). Our approach to urban design and regeneration optimises site value for clients. This is made possible by successfully combining public realm with contextually responsive buildings. Our experience proves that well considered high density schemes are well received by planning authorities and neighbours alike. We believe that helping clients to make appropriate decisions at an early stage of a project has potential to save a client money and time both immediately and in the long term.

Divine Ideas believe that each client and each site benefits from an individual and fresh approach. We take time to understand the client’s requirements and can offer a dedicated briefing service. Building on this understanding we optimise the development potential of a site by analysing the context and establishing the maximum development envelope for that site. This envelope is formed by combining physical, political, and planning factors with an appropriate response to neighbours. These two factors enable us to create site-specific buildings that optimise the return for a developer and successfully negotiate the planning process. Divine Ideas believe that a thorough understanding of site context enables the creation of healthy and attractive environments in and around new buildings. Effective design of the building envelope including modern forms of off-site construction provide opportunities to minimise energy use, and maximise cost savings to developers resulting from better control of quality and time. Efficient integration of building services with renewable energy minimises this cost whilst maximising returns. Divine Ideas have extensive experience of new-build, refurbishment and conversion.

Whether building a new hotel or converting and renovating an existing one, our designs look to maximise the commercial viability and create unique solutions. The process includes assessing the effective built form, which includes optimising the spatial requirements and operational relationships in both front and back-of-house areas of the hotel. Divine ideas have successfully brought their designs to fruition while ensuring the detail and quality of the clients brands render the best guest experience possible. Restaurants and Bars are constantly battling to keep on top of changing customer tastes and presentation aesthetics. This work is very challenging and Divine Ideas have a record of successfully creating vibrant and flourishing establishments.

Divine Ideas have been involved in numerous buildings serving the community from crèche’s to nursing homes. One of the most serious housing challenges facing our society is the provision of appropriate accommodation to address the ageing population. Divine Ideas has the skills and knowledge to design the best possible homes: beautiful, accessible housing which meets the full range of individual needs and wishes, while retaining the flexibility to adapt in the future. With such a large portfolio of schemes and a broad client base, we have an understanding of the various models for older persons housing and care. Our projects cover the full range of typography, from small specialist care homes to sheltered housing and retirement villages. We have developed community use buildings as part of our mixed use regeneration schemes and single commissions for individual buildings. We worked closely with the residents association at Lisson Green in Westminster to provide a new community centre. The success of the centre is evident in the way the community have embraced and cared for their new building.

Divine Ideas have experience of commercial fit outs both for speculative market offices and prestige one-off clients. We bring imaginative solutions and tight control of cost and time to these demanding projects.
