The scheme provides 241 new dwellings on a former paper mill site in Waltham Forest for Hadley Homes and London and Quadrant Housing Association.
Divine Ideas were appointed to maximise the development potential of a redundant industrial site surrounded by low density housing. A study feasibility showed that a scheme for full residential on the site had been refused prior to our involvement. It was proposed to approach the site as a whole and look to provide mixed use residential, live/work and new industrial small-scale units. We secured full planning permission in 2006. We worked with London and Quadrant on the design of the affordable element (40%). The client then sold the site to East Thames Homes, construction was completed in 2011.
