An inner city brown field site of a former warehouse destroyed by fire. The site is within a conservation area and the replacement building had to reflect the original. The scheme was for a private client who had a planning permission for conversion to residential use prior to the building being destroyed.
We saved the commercially attractive historic consent by implementation 4 days before it expired.
Divine Ideas then developed this permission further and created 6 new units within the permitted volume and successfully negotiated their approval. We then worked on the scheme for the Design and Build tender.
The project inserted 3 mews houses, 1 town house, 2 live work units, 12 flats and 4 maisonettes with underground parking and communal courtyard into a very constrained site of 650sq.m. Ardmore where awarded the contract and project was completed April 2007.
